This was one of the 2-3 works that I saw photos of online that originally convinced me I had to, had to go to Montreal to see this exhibition…but I forgot all about it in the thrill of seeing so many other great pieces in the show – “L’arbre aux oiseaux” (“The Bird Tree”). When we came to the end and saw it, it was the loveliest surprise!

They set up a raised walkway at one end so that people could get more on a level with it.

As you may have noticed above, they needed a crane to get to the top to do maintenance. Here’s are close-ups of that process.
